One of the great things about Florida’s First Coast of Golf is that there are so many different types of golf courses to choose from. FFCG has everything from links courses to championship ones. And now, there’s an additional course to challenge the golfer. Amelia Island Plantation has reopened its Oak Marsh Golf Course. Designed by the legendary Pete Dye, Oak Marsh is noted for its tight fairways and small greens. It hugs the salt marsh creeks and is shaded by the moss-draped oaks that have made Amelia Island famous. This par 72, 6,500 yard course has 14 holes with water hazards. There are also a variety of bunkers to challenge any player. Amelia Island Plantation’s other golf options include the Ocean Links Golf Course, Long Point, and Amelia River.
