Springin’ the Blues Jacksonville Beach Style!

Kill two birds with one stone and spend a weekend listening to the blues and playing some of the nicest courses in northeast Florida.

If you are a golf enthusiast with a taste for the blues, April in Jacksonville Beach is your month. The 24th Springing the Blues Festival will be held at the Seawalk Pavilion in Jacksonville Beach on April 4-6, 2014. With three full days of music provided by 18 blues artists of both national and local renown performing more than 40 hours of music on two stages, this year’s festival is expected to attract more than 150,000 fans.

Along with the music, there will be a food court full of delicious treats; a marketplace where sponsors, local businesses and artists can offer their wares; and a large fun area for the kids. In addition, there will also be other events accompanying the festival like the Surfing the Blues Spring Surf Fest sponsored by the Florida Surfing Association; the Performance Running the Blues 5K Run/2.5K Walk; and after-parties at MOJO Kitchen BBQ Pit Blues Bar.

And, if you decide to visit Jacksonville Beach, you can take advantage of one of the many golf courses in the area, or even sign up for a gold package that would include accommodations and rounds of golf. You can also visit the World Golf Village, home of the World Golf Hall of Fame, located just south of Jacksonville.
