World Golf Village Golf Festival Offers Something for Fans of All Ages

This all day festival will celebrate everything we adore about the world's greatest sport.

It’s not often that we have an opportunity to incorporate everything we love about the sport of golf, from watching the greats play to playing ourselves! But now we can do this and much, much more at the inaugural World Golf Village Golf Festival on Saturday, October 4. Held at World Golf Village in St. Augustine, the main event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. It is free and open to the public.

Let’s break it down.

Golfing Greats
PGA TOUR Grand Champions, including Hall of Fame members Gene Littler and Doug Ford, will be on hand to interact with fans as well as be part of a clinic on the Slammer & Squire driving range.

Free Entrance & Tours to The Hall of Fame
Hear official historian Dr. Anthony Parker as he provides insight into some of golf’s greatest moments. There will also be a “Closest to the Pin” contest for all ages. Children will be treated to activities focused on the Science of Golf, the Hall of Fame’s education program.

Demo Clubs and Clinic
Starting at 10 a.m., the Slammer & Squire will host representatives from PING, Nike, Titleist, Callaway, Oakley and TaylorMade with their latest technology. From 11 a.m. to Noon, there will be an interactive golf clinic, followed by the opportunity to play the course with Tee It Forward advanced tee boxes. Limited space means you need to register in advance.

PGA TOUR Academy
On site all day, this group of pros can put you through a series of golf challenges designed to help stretch your game. There will be a special women’s clinic from 3 to 6 p.m. featuring GOLF Magazine Top 100 Instructor Anne Cain.

Free IMAX Golf Movies
Starting at 10 a.m., the World Golf Hall of Fame IMAX Theater will play your favorite golf movies including The Legend of Bagger Vance and Caddyshack.

Food Truck Rally
And what festival would be complete without food trucks? From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. check out some of Northeast Florida’s best local food truck offerings.

Music
Local artists Ryan Campbell and Charlie Walker Band will be entertaining you from 12 to 4 p.m.

It’s a good thing that the festival is an all-day event because it will take you that long to participate in everything! For a complete schedule of events, visit the World Golf Hall of Fame website.
