St Augustine has a rich history. Founded in September 1565, it is known as the oldest continuously occupied European-established settlement in the continental United States and often referred to as the Nation’s Oldest City. Just a short drive from Jacksonville and conveniently located near the Orlando, Daytona and Jacksonville airports, St. Augustine is the perfect tourist destination and a golfer’s paradise.

  1. World Golf Hall of Fame- Paying tribute to its greatest players, World Golf Hall of Fame shares the stories of the achievements that shaped the sport while celebrating the history of the game. The WGHOF will welcome the Class of 2022 at its upcoming Induction Ceremony, honoring legendary competitors Susie Maxwell Berning and Tiger Woods as well as contributors Tim Finchem and Marion Hollins.
  2. Explore the history- Visit some of the oldest standing landmarks in the country including Castillo de San Marcos and Fort Matanzas. If historic architecture is your cup of tea, take a walk through Flagler College to be amazed by the beautifully preserved Spanish Renaissance architecture of Ponce de Leon Hall.
  3. Visit the beaches- Boasting over 42 miles of beaches, you’ll find nature trails, wildlife refuges, pier fishing, beaches perfect for shell collecting or, if you prefer, beaches with smooth golden sand-- there’s a beach spot to fit everyone’s taste in St. Augustine.

  1. Concerts in the Plaza- Spend summer evenings in town square listening to the best local music under the majestic oaks of the Plaza de la Constitucion. Performers entertain from the Gazebo while you can snack on your BYO-picnic from the comfort of your collapsible lawn chair.
  2. Fireworks Over the Matanzas- Every Fourth of July, watch the fireworks light up the sky set to a backdrop of the ancient Castillo de San Marcos fort while the sparks reflect in the waters of the Matanzas bay.
  3. Nights of Lights- With millions of sparkling lights illuminating the entire city, each winter St. Augustine turns into a magical winter wonderland during their Nights of Lights holiday season.
